Make It Go Away, an element66 classic, finds it’s place in the world as a single. This powerfully catchy song was first released with The Dysprosium Collection, then went on to be re-mastered and released with the Zombie Apocalypse album, and now finally it’s being released as a single to raise money for a great cause.
Chad Hamlin and Kenneth Fisher wanted to release the perfect single for this project, one that would work well for radio play and create awareness for their goal to raise money for José Torres and his mother, Guadalupe. Young José Torres, a little boy from the Salem, Oregon area, recently completed his third cycle of chemotherapy in his fight against the neuroblastoma that has afflicted his body. (Neuroblastoma is a fast-spreading malignant cancer that attacks immature nerve cells, a condition that is most commonly found among infants and very young children.) Tests have revealed that his two previous rounds of chemotherapy failed to eliminate or shrink the tumor attached to his kidney. Guadalupe, the little boy’s mother, has instilled her son with courage and a very positive outlook. He’s staying strong as he undergoes the grueling chemotherapy, but it’s been very hard on the Torres family to watch such an innocent child suffer so horribly.
This project came about when Rafael Mora, a good friend of Chad’s and the president of the Oregon State Penitentiary’s Latino Club, asked Chad to help raise money for this family in need. When Chad heard about José Torres, he wanted to help by donating all the proceeds from two of his songs, one single from each of his recording projects, element66 and LooNurGooSe.
The element66 song, Make It Go Away and the new LooNurGooSe version of Reflection… Unveil Your Disguise (Feat. Kenneth Fisher) are both being released as singles to help raise money for this great cause. All proceeds from these songs go to help with the mounting medical bills that are piling up on the Torres Family, so join in with LooNurGooSe and element66 and make a difference for José Torres and his Mother, Guadalupe.
